Mattia Baldi is an international visual artist and commercial photographer. Based between Bangkok and Paris. Mattia has shot advertising campaigns for clients like CocaCola, Pepsi, Ford, ENI, Shell, Standard Chartered, and Colgate among others. The Italian publishing house Seipersei at the end of 2020 has published a photography book that gathers Mattia’s Black and White Fine-Art work about beauty standards. The book was sold out in less than 4 months and currently signed copies are sold in auctions worldwide.
"I'm impressed by how the human perception of beauty is changing. Modern technologies are going to make us see things that don't exist, augmented reality, our faces will be perceived as we want. A Hollywood star, a friend we love, a teacher we like. How we look, the natural impression that our biological self gives to others will be gradually less important in the next future. I always like a kind of photography that designs an idea, a composition of shadows using real-life elements. If photography is based on something that is not reality is not photography but something else."
